He said the animal did not attempt to bite him when he first grabbed it on the run.

Check out the head and overall coloration. What a magnificent creature! Wouldn't this be a worthy animal to breed into some of our captive bloodlines.

Hi Brian,

Simply beautiful. In 1995 our zoo group spent several weeks in Venezuela and we caught a 5 foot Drymarchon in the Caparo Forest Reserve, the snake was in good health and was not aggressive.

A few years ago I returned to Venezuela, but besides the hundreds of caiman, we only found a cook's tree boa, boa constrictor, and several smaller insular species of snakes Helicops)..etc.

I have a wc female that looks just like that snake and a wc male that looks like that, but with orange instead of yellow. I've always loved the "Tuxedo" patterned YT Cribos!
That's a beautiful snake there!!!

Hello Minicopilot,

Can you send or post pictures?

Did you captive breed any YT Cribo's?

How about some photos? I'm sure we'd all love to see them. Do you know their country of origin, and are they breeding for you?

Brian

Brian, I sent you some really crappy pics from when I got the snakes just days after arriving and a couple of Sunshine, my most prized YT. As a matter of fact, the pics of the black/yellow female were taken of her right out of the bag. The importer said they were from Guyana, but who know for sure! That year I bought 24 wc YT Cribos. I was told they were from Suri and Guyana. I'd post pics here, but I'm no computer guy!!! LOL

I haven't been doing a whole hell of alot with the YT's as of late, but I'm focusing more on them and am looking forward to breeding them again. I bred two wc females earlier this year, but the eggs weren't good. It was the first time for both females and I used the same stud on them.
I'm hoping to get some breeding going with the YT's in the near future. I started to stray away from them and began focusing on breeding my Boas and Pit Bulls, but I'm back on track!
