hello,
i stumbled across your website today, and boy, am i glad i did! i had no idea that there was even an organization of your type in louisiana.

my husband and i started a reptile rescue and adoption based out of baton rouge last year. we also have a branch in lafayette. i am absolutely floored to make contact with y'all. i fully intend to join your group just as soon as i have some extra cash, and to attend the next meeting as my job schedule permits.

i'm looking forward to meeting some of you in person, and going to the next northshore show (10/18 and 10/19 in slidell).

in the meantime, please check out our website (www.gulfcoastreptileservices.com) and feel free to email me with any comments or questions.

p.s. about this permit thing for the large boids, is there a website or a person that i can get in touch with to learn more about it? (my two are grandfathered but apparently i still need a permit). thanks!

Georgia, the regulations for permits for large boids have not been written yet. Theron Magers, Chairman of the Louisiana Reptile and Amphibian Task Force, will be holding a meeting in Baton Rouge to address this very isssue. We will notify our members and post on the website the date and place as soon as Theron notifies us. ~Bill~
