Albino Leo????

pathigdon Mar 17, 2009 08:37 AM

Does anyone have a photo that has all 3 types of Albino Leo's (Tremper, Bell & Rainwater) represented as adults, setting nextg to each other. I would love to see the difference in them. I have what I believe is a Bell Albino, but have had several people on another forum say otherwise. Here are some pics of him.

well from what I've gathered, it's hard to tell which albino morph you have from a picture. The bell's tend to have more yellow and lavender, the tremper's more yellow and brown/chocolate, the rainwaters are more of a pastel color. I've heard that the eye color can be a good way to distinguish them. I would say that yours is a tremper albino. But again to know for sure you'd need to know the lineage of your gecko.

Give that little guy a 90 F hot spot locale and his colors will brighten up considerably over a week or two.

I would say by that picture, it definitely doesn't appear to be a rainwater. To me it looks like a Tremper. It could be a Bell, though...............you would need to provide a decent Macro shot of the gecko's eye for us to guess better. And even then it would just be a guess.

I appreciate everyones help. The pics I posted are rather dark. So his color is kinda hard to tell. Except for his eyes, he looks like a Bell. His eyes are not red, but rather a light grayish. I will post some better pics as soon as I can.
