Tried to take some pics outside today. The sun was finally out. Almost 60. I admire you folks that take good pics.
The colors and sheen on the animals look great outside to the naked eye but they don't seem to translate well from the camera for me.
try the macro setting and move in close to about 10 - 15 inches

Put a cup or tub over them for a minute so that they coil up underneath. Take a couple pics of the tub, so you can adjust your focus lighting, etc. Remove the cover and take a couple of quick shots. Repeat as necessary...
