YES hes going HYBINO

jcgecko Sep 11, 2003 05:35 PM

Oh thank you god, some of you might know i spent a good bit of money to add to my leo collection at the daytona show. The line im working with is a tang albino line mixed in with some carrot head, and im also hoping to produce a few hybinos (hypo albinos for you who don't know). I got a couple nice females from tremper who are huge and have some nice tang. 2 More females from Knreptiles who are nice but not amazing. Anyways getting to the point the male i bought from masterpiecegecko who is amazing tangerine banded. WEll in the last week the tang on his tail has been coming up everywhere all the way up to 50 percent o fthe tail. And well today i checked in the tang is taking over the banded the first banded is now almost completely taken over by the first band there is a huge tang spot in the second band and the third by the legs now has a stripe down the center. And hes only 3 months old. I can't wait to see him full grown. just thought i would share.

In my experience with hybinos the orange can continue to take over over a matter of not only months, but years. My foundation male (purchased from Tremper in 2000) is now pretty much all orange, you can hardly see the bands anymore.

This boy was hatched this year on June 6, I expect him to go all hybino, he gets oranger by the week.

Here he is at hatching, June 6:

a few days later, on June 11th

here he is on August 1st

August 19:

Sept 10:
