Dystocia in boas is unheard of to me, and I feel safe to say that it is quite rare. Keep a nice hide box in there and be patient. The one time that I bred this species I remember being on my toes waiting and just about to give up when a little baby snake head popped out of the hide's door to look around. Great feeling

The 105 day figure is just the average and can vary as much as a week or two depending on size, age, reproductive history, and gestation temp of the female.

What is the gestation period for red-tail boas?
