Nice animals, Dave. I like that Hauge jungle the best out of the jungles you posted and that salmon aby is sweet. Those 2 sunglow males are both nice and really a toss up for me without seeing them in person. Just curious... what makes those motleys pastels? Define a pastel motley?

rainbowsrus Mar 18, 2009 05:00 PM

Thanks Shane, The Salmon Aby was what got me started taking new pics the other night, she was looking soooo sweet!!! The Hauge Jungle is my second best looking Jungle, her brother is just a little better looking but don;t tell her I said that. He's in shed right now.

Very good question, for me it was buying them from Bill as Pastel Motleys He bred a motley to a pastel and sold the babies as Pastel Motleys. The female has clearly taken on more of the pastel influence. A softening of the darker colors IMO is what the pastel influence is when combined with Motley. (back to the original intent of the "pastel" name)

Hey Jessica, Thanks again. I've worked long and hard building my collection, stuffing it chock full of excellent looking animals. Yeah, some are better than others but all were selected for specific reasons.
