maybe you hide box is a bit small. Watch her for a few days and see if the imprint goes away. Snakes are used to squeezing into tight spots. Is your hide really heavy?

just soak the bigger hide in a bleach/water solution of 1:10 for about twenty minutes, rinse really well, rinse really well again and let air dry (if wood, if plastic or resin, dry with towel after rinsing well).

Don't worry about the imprint it goes a way, sometimes balls just like to get snug in there hides I had one do that all the time no she is older and doesn't really hide but she used to get imprints all the time.

as far as I know yes it is contagious. I have heard of one snake getting it and affecting the entire collection within a few weeks, but I am not an expert on the subject.
