I like them a lot. I've had a few snakes get some minor burns using overhead flood lights. I use the heat mats and overhead heat panels now for my bigger snakes. It isn't as good as sunlight, but it's ok for a cage. The BHP female knows she can sit on that heat mat and heat up faster than the ambient temps in her cage.
