Yes, another substrate question

mimitid Sep 11, 2003 06:59 PM

Hello all!

I have been looking online at petsmart and other stores, but wanted to ask those with experience about the cocconut shell substrates. There are several different brands sold. I an researching corn snakes before I buy one and was concerned about the danger of impaction and if cocconut has any adverse affects on corns, since it is obviously not a plant native to the corn's region. I am looking for a non-hazardous, attractive substrate to decorate a terranium. I don't want to live in an ugly boring place so why should my snake? Any other recommendations would be great. Thanks!

I love corns and use Reptile Carpet for all of them. They seem to like it and it makes cleaning a breeze. Buy the good kind, nothing that frays. You can find it all over the place. Buy two for when you are cleaning one.
