Second 2 snakes of the year!

Br8knitOFF Mar 20, 2009 08:20 PM

These things bite a LOT!

The smaller of the two:

My boy (5 years old) spotted a rough green walking the trails, but told me he saw a rattlesnake, so I wasn't eager to jump into the debris to grab it. As I was moving the debris around from a distance, I asked him what color it was, and he said green. I asked him how green, and he pointed to the brightest green leaves in our surrounding.

Just then, saw the Rough Green Snake darting away through a thick bunch of blackberry vine... no thanks.

The highlight of the day was my boy telling me that he was having more fun than 'watching TV or playing video games!'...

A good day!
