anery or ghost?

cochran Mar 21, 2009 12:20 PM

This little guy is a result of breeding my fire corn (het. anery and hypo)to my ghost(het. amel). That would make him het. amel, hypo and possibly bloodred right? My main question is,does he look anery or ghost? Thanks!, Jeff

Jeff

Looks like a ghost on my monitor-but I can't say that unambiguously...

when I first looked at the dorsal view I thought Ghost but then I noticed the black borders, thin but black and I looked at the ventral view and noticed black checkers and not muted checkers.
I think I may lean towards anery on this one.
Of course I could be way off but that's what I see.

I definitely see what you mean-the ventral checkering looks a bit bold for a ghost. But that dorsal shot is identical to some of our ghosts.

If it's an anery it's a very light one, if it's a ghost then it's a bit dark

I agree Jimmy.. It appears to be a light anery.. Always hook it to a hypo for a test breeding to confirm the result!

Jeff,

I once had a ghost that looked very much like that one.
Though I reckon you'll never know for sure unless you breed it to a hypo and see what you get.
Though my guess is it's a ghost.
At any rate, it's a nice-looking corn!

I'm positive it's a ghost.
