ARB in the grass

natsamjosh Mar 21, 2009 09:51 PM

The weather was decent today, so I got some pics of Mendoza. I got him from Jeff a year ago, so far he's been a great snake. I took him to "Reptile and Amphibian Day" at the NC Museum of Natural Sciences a couple weekends ago, and he did quite well given the hundreds of people crowding around and touching him. (I've got a bunch of pictures from that event that I need to post.)

Thanks,
Ed

Thanks Julie. Yeah, the eyes on Mendoza are neat. Hopefully I can get a girlfriend for him one day who will also like them.

I also got some pics of Jack in the grass. I'm sure my neighbors think I'm a lunatic when they seem me laying on my stomach in the grass snapping pics of my snake.

I like the second pic, you can see me with the camera and my house in his eye reflection.

Thanks for the nice comments.

Ed,
I really like Jake. I've said it before and its worth repeating: Cadillac of the snake world. Those pics really show what a regal snake the Eastern Indigo is.
Thanks for sharing,
Paul

Awesome! The house reflections are funny....(cue National Geographic voice over) The Eastern Indigo, commonly known as big black snake in the grass, forages in the wilds of ... um ...well, by the reflection of his eye... the wilds of the front lawn in front of some guy's house! ROTFL...

That's funny. I guess I need to photoshop out the house at the very least before entering that picture into any contests.

Thanks,
Ed

He has them in his eye. He knows he owns Ed and the house.

You got that right! Hopefully pretty soon he'll get a wake up call, won't be the center of the universe anymore.
