I was out herping today found this Northern water near a swamp a few feet off the road. It's the first one I've seen, let alone caught. It measures 40 inches and has a terrible smelling musk!

That's a brutish looking female and 40" is hefty for a sipedon. She looks healthy considering she probably squirted out 30 babies within the last few weeks. Where did you catch her?
