Sulfur Shed Cycle

AllBalledUp Mar 22, 2009 02:22 PM

Most of my BPs get a pink belly several days before going blue, but I have this sulfur mojave (beautiful snake from Eric Sandoval) that goes pink all over (top to bottom/head to tail) for about a week before shedding. Actually more of a salmon color than the kind of belly pink I see on my other snakes. Anybody know what's up with that? I would post a pic but I am far more technically challenged than Mr. Gundy, both camera-wise and computer-wise.

Not to many sulfur mojaves out there! I'd ask Eric... My guess is that the sulfur really lighten and brightens so it makes that pre shed color show more?

I know what you are talking about, and I think it has to do with the overall color of the Sulfur Mojave, having a maroon tint to it.
