I DONT KNOW IF ANYONE IS AWAKE....12:15 AM PENNSYLVANIA TIME BUT I HAVE AFTER 66 DAYS A BABY HATCHING FROM BREEDING A HYPO TRANSLUCENT FROM "DACHIU" CROSSED WITH A "PHANTOM DRAGONS" HYPO TRANSLUCENT AND THEY ARE HATCHING. ONE NOSE STICKING OUT AND THREE EGGS ARE SWEATING.......IT NOSE LOOKS LIKE ITS BLEEDING AND I CANT WAIT TO SEE THE REST. I WAS TOLD FROM A FEW PEOPLE THE RESULTS WOULD NOT BE GOOD AND A FEW OTHERS TOLD ME "GO FOR IT" ........I KNOW THE BLOODLINES ARE NOT CROSSED AND I THINK THAT WAS THE PROBLEM WITH ALL THE OTHER ATTEMPTS....
I HAVE ATTACHED A PIC OF MAYBE THE FIRST TRUE "SUPER HYPO TRANSLUCENTS" THAT MIGHT MAKE IT. SHE ONLY GAVE ME 14 EGGS AND 4 WERE LOST ALONG THE WAY....TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK?

As of 8:30 am the first one is completly out of the egg and seems fine.....when I opened the container I got the puffed up body, mouth open and the defensive half caulked body spinning around ready to bite my head off....oh ya...the color is amazing. I will post pics tonight when I get home and remove the 1st one from the container.

hey, sounds like to great breeders you purchased. I would always recommend going het to dominant. when you go dom to dom, especially in such a new unstable line, you are really taking a big chance in unhealthy dragons. this is just my opinion. I am not a vet. good luck. i hope they come out amazing. let me know.

I do go co-dom to dom on an regular basis...but I had to try just knowing these two are not related in bloodlines. I did quite a bit research to find out if they were related in any way before I even considered crossing them and even then I was not to sure I should and I spent alot of time debating knowing what the possible outcomes could be. Time will tell.
Think about it....a "pure" Hypo Translucent not produced from co-dom to dom or co to co...a "SUPER HYPO TRANSLUCENT" I am just glad she only gave me one small clutch incase it does go bad..its going to be hard to watch these guys if it does.
