I have been thinking about making an Air cleaning sys for my 20 gallon tank for my rats. I have the idea of using baking soda and activated carbon to make a filter and a use a pc fan to force the air. have anyone done anything like that? Any other idea for a ventilation sys?

well i actually don't have that kind of a sstem but i do have an air ionizer and purifier? its called lightning air? it works pretty good, can't smell mice but i can smell just the bedding, pretty good, but your idea sounds pretty good as well, give it a try. Good luck!!!

I'm not sure how something like that would work or look exactly (post pics when you are done if you get it to work... I'm sure I'm not the only one who would be interested in something like that). However, I've found that adequate ventilation, cleaning, and an room air-purifier that is rated for a room larger than your rodent room seems to do an adequate job.
