How many of you during your experience with breeding ball pythons had a season where you actually not gave up but said to yourself, darn i didn't get nothing this season, and next thin you know a couple of months later she laid a clutch of eggs? Or am i the only one thinking like that? Is it me being patiently impatient or is it still too early?

It is still too early. Don't give up yet. Keep introducing the males to the females (or the other way around if you prefer). I don't stop until mid-May at times. Every snake is different - some will go early, some late, some switch it up on you and keep you guessing. The key is patience and to not give up.

I know snakes can all go at different times although this is the BIG part of the breeding and laying season(I live in Arizona). I am only breeding about 10 of my females this year and I started back in November. Just had my first clutch of the year 5 days ago from a possible het Albino female to a visual male Albino. Six eggs, 4 good and two slugs. I expect to have several more clutches over the next 3 or 4 months. I will continue to put the breeders together until they lay, or sometime in June when it seems to be over. Heck I had clutches laid last July so dont give up. I am continually seeing lock ups between my males and females. Hoping for some Albinos, Pewters and super Cinnies or Super Blacks along with the others that come along with them from this years breeding.. Keep going man and dont give up.
