Somebody shed yesterday......

rainbowsrus Mar 23, 2009 02:38 PM

My latest acquisition Lazarus. So named because he came back from the dead. For those that don't remember or connect the dots. There was some shipping confusion with Delta. The shipper though he was supposed to arrive 11PM the same day when the flight was actually an 11AM flight. Because of timing that meant it would overnight in Atlanta. When the package arrived this guy and his sister were both totally limp and lifeless. Thought they were dead. After a fairly long time cupping them in my hands they both twitched and eventually took a breath. All in all it took them close to an hour before they were moving somewhat normally.

actually thought the post was about fluffy, still waiting for his next shed pics.
Lazarus looks insane. Do you think you will end up getting another stripe or het from Ted, or just start the long process of making your own?

Gorgeous,thanks for sharing Dave

rainbowsrus Mar 23, 2009 04:17 PM

Yeah I'm kinda partial to him. Looks great and I do feel I saved his and his sisters lives. Had I accepted the appearance of them being dead and not given them the chance to revive, he and his sister would not have made it. Is a pretty good feeling to know I pulled them back from deaths grip!!

Surely you gonna have to move soon anyway, once you start gathering your DH holdbacks for everything your stuffed. Going to be going from a home to a facility

Beautiful Boa Dave! Absolutely stunning!
I haven't been spending very much time checking out the forums lately due to a busy schedule, just scanning once and a while so I must have missed the story about the shipping mishap. You must've been estatic to see those tounges flicker after arriving in such poor shape and thinking they were dead.
I probably don't need to ask you this, but definately make sure you post more pics of that guy as he grows!
Milo

The first sign of any life at all was a mid body twitch, barely noticeable at all. A couple of minutes later he took in a breath, clear good movement there. For a while after that he was pretty disoriented, unable to move with purpose, only random flopping around. slowly improving until he was normal and tongue flicking etc. The female was at least 15 - 20 minnutes behind him in recovering. So much so that he was moving around before she moved at all. I gave up on her and put her back in her delicup when she twitched. Pulled her right back out and eventually they were both re-animated and seem to be fine.

was a horrifing - scary - kinda cool - awesome experience!!
(not one I'd suggest anyone else to go through)
