Hey Edward,

Your quickest and best bet besides the search engines is the april 2003 issue of Reptiles magazine. Great full illustrations are on pages 76, 80-81. Page 72 has a Macroscincus jaw showing a great example of Pleurodont dentition.

When all is said and done, I will make the information available.
I may put the whole paper on the Skink Forum (with the exception of the tables and the STLI graph) for all to view and enjoy.

Sincerely,
Brian

I guess somehow I must have overlooked that issue of Reptiles. I'll have to go back and try to find a copy of it. And yes, I'd like to read that article when you finish it.
Thanks for your reply.

The Title of the piece is "IN SEARCH OF MACROSCINCUS" It is not listed on the cover, that might be why you missed it.

If you can't get a hold of a copy, I'll see what I can do to Xerox a copy (In Color-of course) and send it to you. It is not a real informative article, and the author is basing the theme on finding live Macroscincus which the entire archipelago has been looked over with a fine-toothed comb already by several leading scientists. However, as I said, there are excellent illustrations, so definately obtain a copy somehow.

Sincerely,
Brian
