Coloration Questions

FraggleRock Mar 24, 2009 12:43 PM

I've got 3 snakes who I've only put in one tank for the purposes of this examination (they are housed separately on most occasions, but they play together a lot and they are okay.

The question is about their coloration. I have had snakes off and on for over 30 years, but I've never thought to ask about coloration or mutations and I am considering breeding and I'd like to know what colors my snakes are.

Hendrix, I assume is normal. The other two are different.

I am sure I've come to the right place and hopefully you guys can put an end to the wondering.

Here are links to my snake images with descriptions to go by.

Snake #1: "Hendrix":

Snake #2: "Janice":

Snake #3: "Mouser":

Right Mouser:

Comparison of Janice to Mouser:

Comparision of all 3 snakes, together:

I have been told Mouser is a Pastel Jungle, a Yellow Pastel and other things ... I'd just like to find out if anyone here knows.

I plan on breeding Mouser. I have no clue if the other have a coloration, but I suspect Janice does.

Thankyou in advance again.

Two normals -- mouser does appear to be a pastel -- aka pastel jungle or one of the dozen other names that go with the morph.

Good luck.

I concur. I would say pastel, or ghost, but I am leaning towards pastel. 2 normals and a pastel.
