1,000 grams is way too small. Needs to be at least 1,500.

I have two that are 1200 and i'm taking one more year just to play it safe.

I started breeding my female at 1200, and in just 4 months she is now 1600??????? Is this normal? She eats anything I give her. I have not witnessed any ovulation yet, I might have missed it, but she still eats like a pig???? Any guesses? I am still running my male through, but I will stop on may 1st.

Don't forget the weight of the female is supposted to be on a empty stomach not after a big meal... 1 small/medium rat can weight anywhere between 30 to 80 grams each...
