what is the earliest time that a clutch you incubated hatched?

kimtall Sep 11, 2003 09:15 PM

I have read that sometimes clutches can hatch out as soon as 45 days. Is this true? I know it usually takes 60, but has anyone had them hatch out in less time. My eggs have been incubating for 39 days now and a couple of them are starting to dimple. The humidity is fine so I don't think it is because they are dehydrating at all. What do you think? Will they most likely hatch out earlier than 60 days? I am incubating at 90 F. Thanks for any comments. :0)

to the best of my knowledge, at 90 they could hatch as early as 52-54 days.

I have had heads poke out as early as 54 days at 89 degrees.

49 days is the earliest for me, and I've had that 5 or 6 times before. 90F was the incubation temperature, without fluctuation.

At ~90 degrees (although it could have been a little higher),
I had one clutch hatch out at 47 days! They were all perfectly
healthy. They really caught me by surprise.
