Stillwater Copulation...

brhaco Mar 25, 2009 05:34 PM

Here's a shot of my pair of Stillwater Hypos in copulation. If you look closely, you can see that the male has the female grasped firmly by the neck.....

nice brad! how are those pullatus mexicanus doing?

brhaco Mar 26, 2009 08:09 AM

Thanks all!

Dan-the mexicanus are doing great, and eating in typical Spilotes manner-ravenously! The male is now between 7 and 8 ft, the female about 6. They've been together for about 3 months, and I'm hoping for breeding this year, though that may be optimistic given their age....

I vividly remember drooling over them in Daytona. I was quickly outbid during the auction . Good luck on the breeding trials, hopefully I can get my hands on some future offspring!

Brad that thing is incredible. They must be stunning in person. I got to the auction about 5 minutes after they were bagged up last year and missed seeing those.
