How do I treat my rats for mites?

I would use no pest strips if the rats are isolated in a room with no reptiles, or spray them and bedding with nix lice shampoo that has been diluted in a gallon of water, these mites will soon bite you and your family i have a battle with mites right now that have bitten every one in my home good luck.
