Do Spiders breed better others?

oc-balls Mar 26, 2009 12:47 PM

I’m still very new at this; it’s only my 3rd season breeding, and only my 1st season breeding my Spider male. He’s a typical Spider with a slight head wobble, and is an extremely aggressive feeder (like many others I hear about); he’ll jump half way out of his tub for a meal!

My question is: Has anyone noticed their male Spiders being really “strong/aggressive” breeders. I’m cycling him through two normal females, and he’s usually locked up in less than an hour. My only other experience is my male Albino, and he’s much more laid back about the whole breeding process.

Just wondering if this could be another “Spider Trait”

Thanks for any input,
Ken

No better or worse than any other males I've got.

Interesting question. I have one spider male that is an amazing breeder . . . locks up with every female I put him with. However, I have others which do not.

Could it be more an individual snake "trait" than one attached to any particular morph? Sort of like eating habits . . . some of my normal females (except during breeding) eat anything put in their tub, others are real picky. Just a thought.
