here's a great reason to not throw out eggs unless they start to rott. a while back i had a female lay eggs, when i was gone for a few days. when i got back, they had been in the humid hide for about 2 days and were still rubbery. i put them in the incubator, though i already knew they were infertile. they never got hard, they just stayed rubbery the whole time. they never even got very big. another clutch, from a different female was found a few weeks into this incubation. i put these eggs in the incubator. a few days later, they were yellow and rotting, so i threw them out. i almost threw the others out, because i knew they were infertile, but decided to keep them because they were still white. well, a few days ago i checked on them, and to my surprised, one of them hatched. i was shocked. the other hasn't hatched yet, i dunno if this one is fertile or not. but i will wait and see.
