My 1st litter of the season

mdc Mar 30, 2009 09:26 AM

This litter is probably not as exciting to everyone else as it is to me, but this is the first time that I have bred any snakes that I produced. The mom is a beautiful stripeline albino female that I produced in 2005 and the dad is a het red albino that I produced in 2006.

This was a very small litter of 7 albinos and 3 hets. Sadly, it looks like only 4 or 5 of the albinos will make it. I will post more pics once they shed.

Thanks for looking,
Matt

Thanks Dave. Mainly due to yolk bellies.

Jasin Mar 30, 2009 02:17 PM

I had a litter of albinos last year that had BIG yolk bellies. I put them into a sweater box container on wet paper towels(changed it out every day), and put them in my python egg incubator at a constant 88-90 degrees, and they all absorbed and pulled through just fine. Don't give up hope!! Hope this helps, and Good luck!!

It's a special feeling whent the parents are ones you produced!

Looking forward to seeing what else you've got cookin'

Hey Matt congratulations on your first litter of the season.

I do agree there is something special about getting litters out of snakes you have produced, way to go.

Good luck with the questionable ones.
