29 days and no eggs........

jokerfish Mar 30, 2009 08:23 PM

My first female dropped 27 days to the date from her last shed. My next female due was supposed to drop on 3/28. She has been balled up, laying sideways etc, but no eggs yet. My question is, how long can she hold out and not put herself in any harm?

Some just go longer. I wouldn't worry about it.

I consider 30-35 days "the norm". If they are in there they will come out!!! Gook luck.

Belly heat and ambient temps that are on the higher side will speed laying date forward. I have lowered my belly heat from last year and expect my lay days POS to increase a bit. I am keeping track as best I can and will have an average after POS at he end of the season. I'll post my findings with all the numbers for what it will be worth.
