Very nice-if you did not bury them deep you may want to put a long deck screw in one timber at an angle to go into the next one, or cap the top with a board to stablelize the barrier. I live in the Midwest and the freeze can shift wooden forms.

Looks great! I am concerned about the big rock in the pond-be sure a small turtle can become stuck in between the rock and side of the tub. I have heard some sad stories about turtles dying when they get caught in such conditions, like in between a fence and another immovable barrier.

Thanks,

I've already removed the rock in the pond and set it in the ground for a feeding station. There are actually two rocks in there. A smaller one towards the front. Im a little concerned because the pond is a little on the deep side. I'm not sure how well my ornates can swim so I put that in to keep them safe. I'm thinking I may add some sand or gravel so that it becomes more of a wading pond. I guess I could use some ideas.

As far as the posts go I'm going to add a cap to stablize and for escape prevention.

Any ideas for plants and flowers???

Looks great. I would suggest putting down a good two to three-inch layer of finished compost, as well as putting in a nice leaf pile for burrowing. As far as plants go, you have so many choices. I have a part shade to shade situation in my pen and I have hostas, coral bells, ornamental grasses, lamium, and ferns planted.

I did mix in a dozen blocks of the coconut bark into the top soil I also dumped in a bunch of leaf litter already too. I put in a few strawberry plants. I'm still looking for more plants to add,.....especially around the pond.

I did remove both rocks from the pond and added some natural aquarium gravel.

Now if it would just warm up here. I live in New Mexico and we just had snow yesterday. It's supposed to warm up here though next week.
