Going on week 3, no food

JannieWolf Apr 02, 2009 11:12 PM

So my Leo has always been a good eater. Lotsa crickets, wax worms and finally got back into meal worms at the end of the summer. Over the winter she has been eating less and less and now has seemed to stop. She's active, drinking, pooping normally, she'll follow the movement of the food, give a lick but not lunge. Temps are high 80s in the day warm side and 75 maybe at night depending if my window is open a crack. There's also a UTH in there. Tail is still nice and fat.

Is this STILL part of the winter slow down? I'm in Boston, MA and the daily temps have FINALLY moved up to the 50's and we have sun till around 7 pm. I would think she would be over this by now. There's a great animal hospital that does Leo's nearby but I'm hesitant to bring her if all this seems like normal behavior.

Advice?

If her enclosure temp is only reaching 85 on the hot side she very well maybe still in winter mode. Try getting her more heat a basking spot of 90 is usually recommended. gl
