Giant wood frog....

ginevive Sep 12, 2003 06:43 AM

I found a frog by the creek near my house. It looks just like a wood frog, with the mask and coloration, but it is over two inches long. All the wood frogs I ever saw barely exceeded an inch, and these included a few that I kept for years. This thing was nearly 2.5 inches long! I thought it was a green frog, but never saw one with a wood frog-like mask like this. Anyone else ever see a giant wood frog?

I have seen some fairly large wood frogs before, being about 2" long. Maybe it's just an old one, and it continued to grow. You could try keeping it and breeding it so there are more larger wood frogs around.
