Big Feeding Problems!

papageorgi091 Apr 03, 2009 11:35 AM

I have a year and a half old, SCHTC (I think) male and I got him at a reptie expo in early January. When I got him he was nice and fat, and looked really healthy. Now it seems that he has stopped eating all together, and I can tell because his tail is shrinking up and he is getting skinnier. His diet is mostly crickets, and occasionally a pinkie (which I do for all my leos). Now he won't eat a single thing and I am worried!

thanks Papa G

I would make sure he is separate from your others. I would get him to a vet asap. He may have a parasite of some sort may even be cryptosporidiosis. gl

thanks for the advice, I thought I would give a little more info about him just in case, he is moving healthily, and is not acting any different than when I first saw him, he also is shedding normally, I also already have him seperated from the others with no plans on reuniting him until he is healthy again, I also noticed that he is very very picky on what he is interested in!

Also I thought that it could have been the fact that the food is unappealing since he is sometimes scared of their movements, should I start feeding him prepared foods, and if so what kind and how should I go about switching his foods?
