A box made from cabinet grade plywood and a real wood face frame is as good a start as any. Do you have a specific look in mind? Or a picture you've seen that gives you inspiration?

monstercages.com has one that is 6x3x2. something around that size. I just want the front to be sliding so i can get in easily and the rest of it idc how it looks as long as it doesnt look like crap. The one from monstercages is like $350. can i build one for cheaper?

Monster Cages builds furniture grade cages? I thought they used polyethylene or polypropylene plastic?

Is that the look you're going for?

Nice price for a plastic cage. For that price buy it and pay a pro to trim it out with some real wood.

It doesnt really matter to me whether its plastic or wood. as long as it can hold some weight of 2 tv's. But im just makin sure thats a good price. I dont want to spend that much and find out i could have built it for cheaper. Any ideas on what i could do would be great!

$350 for a 6x3x2 plastic cage is a very good price. Find out what shipping is before you decide, but for that price you can buy it and add support to make it hold two TVs.

You probably could built it cheaper but it would depend on the materials you would want for the look you were going for.

Is the cage 3' front-to-back or is it 3' tall?

for V. acanthurus I would prefer a 3' tall cage with a lot of substrate and still plenty of height for viewing. If this is going to be in a TV area I think that would look a lot better.

Yea that cage is only 2 feet tall. I need something taller so im gonna have to probably build something. I just measured the space and its 6x2x3. That should be big enough for a pair of Ackies. Im just not to sure on how to start out building the cage.

A cage is really just a box with a door. Get the material cut professionally for you and then I'll you have to do is assemble it. I would look up some of the DIY tutorials on the web.
