Sterilizing?

Andres Apr 04, 2009 03:27 PM

I need to sterilize a branch and hide for my snake. The branch is porous(sp?) so bleach is out of the question. I was thinking of baking them in the oven but I don't know what temp/time to use. What temp/time do you guys use? What other methods are there for porous objects?

Bad pic, she wouldn't stop moving.

Why do you need to sterilize it? Where did it come from?

Boiling them briefly would probably be easiest. Dry in the sun.

I wet them, and then put in the oven at about 200 degrees for about 30-45 min. to kill any unwanted bugs.
