A friend on another site has some questions about her boa. She found out that mother was a het albino and the bredder paired both an arab and a het albino with the mother. Does this look like an arab to you? It kind of does to me.

Doesn't look arabesque to me, but she is VERRRYY nice looking.
Here is another few pics. Like I said this snake isn't mine but with the lateral stripeing and the freckles she does look like arabs that I have seen posted here.

I'm looking at this Boa and thinking normally I would say absolutely no.
Although after examining the coloration and speckles I guess there
is a very very limited possibility its a low expression Arab.
I doubt if it is an Arab but the only way you will ever know
is through breeding trials.

. . . but not an Arabesque. Arab's have a very distinct head stripe. Often with dark marks above the eyes. All of the ones that I've actually held also have a stripe under their tail between the cloaca and the tip of the tail, like the Motleys have.

Ok, I have another question then, is Arab a co-dom trait or is it always dom? If you were to breed an arab to a normal would it be 50% arabs and 50% normals or all arabs?
Its appears to be a Dominant trait. When bred to a normal Boa 50% Arabs result.
When bred to another Arab I believe you get
25% Homozygous Arabs
50% Heterozygous Arabs
25% normal Boas
In the Dominant trait the Super (Homozygous Arab) looks like the
normal Arab (Heterozygous Arab) As with Hypo and Salmon Boas
I just don't know anyone that has bred Arab to Arab successfully,
I'm sure its been done successfully
