How much room do these need as adults? Would a 48X24X24 enclosure cut it? What about 48X18X20 ? Or, has anyone tried a more arboreal setup, 24X24X48 for example?

I dont know what their natural tendencies are. I'm just trying to get an idea of what kind of housing is best for them.

I really like them but their adult size seems to be just at the limit of my comfort zone.

I think a 48in by 24in floor size set up is good for the largest hog islands. I keep adults in a 36in by 24in cages but another foot of floor space would be great for my large females. I think it would be better to go with the larger floor space cage than the semi arboreal set up you mentioned.

Thats great news actually. I guess they are smaller than I realize. I have not seen an adult in person, so I had them a bit larger in my mind. I spent some time with a few juveniles at a show this weekend, and I was very impressed with their temperament and coloration. Very relaxed but not too shy either.

Thanks for the photos and the advice.
