Mangrove Monitor

ryanhayes96 Apr 07, 2009 01:43 PM

Been searching the internet for info on this certain breed yet I cannot find much at all. I have an empty 75 gallon aquarium, wondering if this will suffice for housing a mangrove monitor?

No, Not even close to big enough for a mangrove monitor. with some cahnges you could use that for a raise up cage but, for an adult I wouldn't go smaller than 8'long and as tall as your ceiling allows. v.indicus can get close to 6' depending on the locale. even an 8' cage is too small for a 6' specimen.

You could keep an ackie in a tank that size if you built a top solid top. If I remember it might be a bit on the short side to hold deep soil though.

cheers,

steve
