I caught this little guy on Sunday, 4/5/09 under some corrugated fiberglass in a hydric hardwood hammock; he's ca. 16" long and judging from the photo, had himself a skink or anole not too long before I caught him. It was cloudy and about 75 degrees. It's from my "secret" spot in Duval, Co. Florida (Jacksonville). It's been many years since I've seen one alive in the field.

Brilliant looking elapsoides... have you noticed a tendency for that 'apricot'ish color scheme over there in Duval? Just curious... great find! Especially since we just got this late cold-blast down here.
