Introduction to myself & my snakes

travisaven Apr 07, 2009 07:49 PM

I am Travis, age 68. Have been a member of Bob Clarks forums for about 8 years. I miss it. (Seems it died) I have the following:
Nearly 8 year old female normal named Lady. 250# 20' 6". She likes to eat & I like to feed her.

Four year old male tiger named Gusano. He looked like a worm when I got him. He is not picky; but a little testy. I have no accurate length; but he weighs about 125. I think he is 17 feet.

An eight year old male albino Burmese named Blanco He also weighs 125 & is slightly less than 15 feet.

A 2 year old ball named mujer, yes a female.

They have eaten more than 25 species. Pigs, goats, coons, possums, squirrels, rabbits, and rats are their most recent meals.

They are pampered. Their house is my den; so I spend time with them every night.

My wife tolerates them; but barely. Her latest complaint is that I stink when I come from the snake house. ¿Any suggestions?

Hi. I remember some of your posts from there. Used to love the pics you posted.

Welcome.
I hear the same smell complaint coming in from the snake house. No real way around it if you have more than a few big snakes that eat regularly. Ventilation is a start, but has its limitations. Incidentally, cotton picks up he stink faster than a lot of other fabrics. Good luck.

Thanx for welcome. I will ventilate better & think about losing the cotton; but I am a cotton person. Might keep a bottle ofd "smelly good" by the door. Could have fringe benefits. For 45 years has had significant meanings.
