Still tweaking the setup

The rat wheel wasn't getting used enough to warrant sacrificing six inches of floor space for. Watching Lupe run on it was cute, but she only seemed to use it for maybe two minutes a day, tops, and the only other interest I ever saw was Pancho driving himself nuts trying to jump on top of it. So I took it out and stood some cork bark in that corner so they could run up the wall and do a quick Spiderman turnaround, and added a couple of tall rocks about two inches wide, with a shaded alley about that same girth behind them.

I got rid of the big stump and went down toonly two branches, the two that they had been actually using extensively, with just an upright brick for ground-clearing support. it looks like ther'e's a solid barrier there, but there's still clear runing space between the support brick and the rock wall.

I'm looking around for another rock to put on top of the others that's long, flat, and a little bit wider, but haven't found quite the right one yet. I'm avoiding the tempation to switch their furniture around on them every single WEEK, but the cage is still a work in progress. I suspect it always will be.

Today they're very, very frisky but not as hungry as usual. There was an expo on the fifth that I picked up silkworms at, and they've been eating those left and right since then, so one day doesn't worry me. A few days ago everybody's weight was up 6-9 grams from a month ago.
Still no egggs from Chica, and her orange is almost gone. Now Lupe's is coming in though.
