Feeding My Beardies

davenkelly Apr 08, 2009 11:10 AM

I know the rule of thumb as far as crickets go, is feed what they will eat in 10/15 minutes.

But, has anyone ever done a Beardy weight to Meal weight raito?

ie...beardy is 200 Grams...so he should eat XX grams of crickets/or silkies/or supers per sitting/feeding event.

I think BDlvr should have a great answer to this since he weighs his beardies weekly and adjust they feedings basied on their weights. Of course it depends on a lot of things. Like as what your feeding your beardie how much activity he gets and many more things. Im sure he will be around later on to give you a great answer to this though.

At 200 grams he/she should still be eating all the live food he/she wants twice daily. A live food/weight ratio would only be valid for adults > 2 years. I have way too many animals to get to that level of detail. lol.
