brb breeding size pics?

raynebow Apr 08, 2009 09:42 PM

Can someone post pics of what a small breeder female, and a yearling brb? I'd like to get a visual idea of the size mine will need to be when she's ready breed. How large does a female need to be to breed, and generally old does she have to be. I have a female brb but I think she was considered very small for her age when I got her, she eats pretty regularly but I feel like she's somewhat of a "slow grower" could this be because she was born really small...like a preme baby and might be experiencing a decreased growth rate? I've heard that the size of offspring is often related to the size of the mother- is it likely that her mother was breed at a young age/was small?

Sorry but I am away from home and cannot post PICs. The easiest method to determine if a female is large enough is to weigh her. Females need to weigh around 3.5 pounds to breed.
