my last litter for this season

patoquack Apr 09, 2009 01:56 AM

sorry for the bad pics - indoor nighttime pics of a small litter from an 06 anery ph albino female bred to an 06 hypo jungle het albino male. the anery did not prove out to be het albino, but I still ended up with jungles, hypo jungles, hypos and normals all het for anery plus the litter is 50%het for albino (statistically). the sire is a proven het for albino as he produced albinos and a sunglow earlier this season.

The litter consisted of these 12 very large healthy babies and a few premies and several unfertalized spuds. I wasn't sure how this litter was going to go with the female only being an 06, but I think she did well.

I know it's hard to get an idea of the colors from these two pics, I'll try to post some better pics later.

it's hard not to post pics to show off a new litter.
best of luck to everyone else!

Patrick

That's crazy your season is over and most folks haven't even started theirs yet my fist litter isn't due until late June! I always hate having to watch everybody else having litters, but it does get me excited to no a-lot of my buddies are having luck with their litters!

Can't wait to see the post shed pix, Jungles are my favorite!!!

this was by far my best season and I was planning on possibly having a bust as I moved into a new house this past summer and had to pack up and move the boa collection and get it all set up in a new place. I was afraid the disruption would cause for a bad season, but all of my pairs were actively breeding within a few months of getting moved in and I ended up with all 4 of my planned litters producing.

I love jungles too, but really want to see a motley in person someday as well....... albino motleys and albino arabesque look really nice. I also love all the great BCC that have been posted recently.

keep the pics coming everyone!

thanks again,
Patrick

Wow, most of us, myself included, are either just starting to drop some or yet to produce our first litters of the year.

Congrats on the litter, even with the poor lighting it looks like there are some nice ones in there, at least pattern wise!!
