Litter#2 I GOT SHARP SNOWGLOWS!!!

Ruben14 Apr 09, 2009 10:20 AM

Well, my Triple het Sharp that was bred to my Albino poss het Snow who is no longer a poss het. He proved out! I found these guys at 6am. The litter was smaller then I thought but they seem to be good sized babies and look healthy as far as I can tell. From the looks of it theres 2 Snowglows one i'm kinda back and forth with but one is foresure, 1 Snow,1 Ghost 100% het Sharp, 5 Sunglows 66% het Anery,1 Albino 66% het Anery, 2 Hypos 100% het Albino 66% het Anery and 2 Normals 100% het Albino 66% het Anery. There was also 1 deformed Albino and 1 Slug. I'm so HAPPY right now I feel like i'm going to puke! The Snow still has it's yolk sack and some how managed to get it's cord in a knot. I was told to seperate it but and suggestions on what I should do about it? Please let me know about that and enjoy the pix! I need some water!

I know you must be on cloud 9 to finally get your first good litter. Looks like some awesome babies in there.

Ruben14 Apr 09, 2009 10:54 AM

Thanks guys! I'd say cloud 8 only cause I don't know what to do about the Snow with the knot in it's cord. Andy gave me some good advice I just want to get a couple of more opinions before I do anything. Once I get the Snow thing firgured out and wake up more i'm sure i'll be on cloud 12!

Very nice, congrats. Nice way to lose your cherry.

BROWNSBOAS Apr 09, 2009 11:51 AM

Congrats Buddy been a long time coming!!! If you can see that the cord on the snow is definitely knotted then I would tie it off and remove it! Just remember that you have too remove the floss before the baby pulls the cord in!!!

Congrats man I know you are excited!!!!!!

cut above the knot and tie off up there also? Once I cut the knot should easily come undone and if I tie below the knot its really close to the belly so that would concern me. Let me know when you get a chance

Ruben14 Apr 09, 2009 01:21 PM

the sack and removed it. When is it safe to cut off the floss? It's only about an inch long and I don't want to risk it getting sucked in. Thakns in advance for the help!

BROWNSBOAS Apr 09, 2009 01:39 PM

Your going to have to keep a constant vigil on this guy/gal! They will start pull the cord in to their belly! Once you see that the floss is against the belly remove the floss! Good Luck and feel free to give me a call if you need any more advice.

I'm so stoked for you buddy!

There must be only "5" or so Sharp Snowglows in existence. I am glad to see your Sharp proved out. I believe you own the only proven Sharp Albino 100% het Anery.

Good job and congrats!!! Post pics when they shed.

So I left for a little bit to calm my nerves and got home about two hours later. Well about right when I get her I open the ox and one of the Snowglows was twisting wierd like it was strugling and sure enough it died right there and then. I kinda expected somthing wierd from it cause he'd move around good but every 10-20 seconds it would stop and open its mouth to breath or what ever. So,it was kinda expected but still really sux. The Snow that had the sack is still alive but I keep finding it in wierd positions like it's trying to die bu when I touch it it comes back around. I guess mother nature has a plan and we can't change that. I'm glad she helped me and took the deform befor I had to. I just couldn't do it. I seperated all the more active ones and one of those is the other Snowglow and the Ghost so hopefully they keep it up. Thanks again for all the kind words. It means a lot to me.

Nice Ruben. I know you're on a natural high or should I say on cloud 9. Sometimes you win and sometimes you lose, but when you win its a great feeling.
