If stress related due to change of environment will colitis go away if left untreated? or even will it go away after just one shot of flagyl(was told this will last upto 10 days)?

I have seen colitis-like symptoms with adult rosyboas when moved from one person to another. In my case, I had two large adults that started having runny stools when I took ownership. I figured it was stress, which then can reduce the immune system and allow for protozoan overload. I had no certain diagnosis, but I administered Flagyl anyway.

3-4 weeks later they were fine. I do not know if the Flagyl helped or if simply settling in was the answer.

A single dose of Flagyl, needed or not, is not detrimental to the snake. Tight hide areas, a temp range (cool and warm) and time will likely make things better as long as the problem is not a symptom of something more serious.

im 98% certain its stress related i know this beacuse i saw the snake in the shop as a healthy snake perfectly normal stools even on the day i got her her stool was normal no abnormal fluid in sight but then the day after her first night i noticed a milky yellow discharge pics are in a post somewhere on here. so i put it down to the stress of the move and the new environment. she has eaten since and passed an almost perfect stool just a slight bit of runnyness to it i think i am gonna take my chances and let this girl sort herself out after all there aint no flagyl in the wild. she seems alot more responsive to food now whereas before she wouldnt touch a single mouse and she is quiet active whereas before(first week or so) she was not so active.
