Ringneck husbandry, um.
I know, in addition to worms, they also eat juvenile garters (Thamnophis sp.) and *some* other small snakes. There are actually some ongoing studies to see if they are venomous to other snakes.
Ringnecks also like to be in tight places, similar to Ball Pythons. Do you have a flat rock or something you could put in his cage that he could squish himself beneath?

How big is he?

Not a keeper snake. They live under soil and leaf mulch and eat grubs and a variety of things found underground. It probably will not feed for you because you can't provide it's normal diet. Take it to where you found it and let it go. It is one of the favorite foods of the Coral Snake, so you may find Corals in the same area.

for such a small snake, you'll be suprised what efforts it will take to keep them.

My suggestion would be to just release it back where you found it.

hard to keep species. you should let it go back where you found it. even if you did get it to subsist on worms, what happens in the winter time, when its too cold to locate food items for it?
