Hiya

Great to meet you yesterday. Wanted to give you an update.

She came home to her new home and immediately ran to a spot on one of her hibiscus and sat there. Afer about an hour she walked over to her hot area and gathered some heat. She looks wonderful when she darkens up.

I misted her and she drank readily! She did one strange thing...she saw the water dropping and instead of walking over to it to drink it like a respectable cham she hit it with her toungue. She did that about 5 times before drinking from a cupped leaf.

I then offered her some food which she ate eagerly. Downed about 6 crickets over 15 minutes. Not shy at all with me in the room.

She was near the male for a few minutes (he was instide his cage..she was on the outside) while I set up the misting nozzle. He lightened up so much and focused both eyes on her...then spent about 5 minutes trying to figure out how to get to her...

Just to make sure you have not treated her yet - right? I'll get her tonight if you did not do it this week. If you did - Ill wait to do it until next thursday.

For a wild caught she is much more friendly than my CB male! I figure since she will need some time to be left alone and acclimate I can spend some time with him.

How is that fischers girl? If she is doing well - I dont want her back in that tank. I feel sorry for the Jacksons in there now. Maybe we can convince him to use one of those large reptariums and place it somewhere nice. That would be a wonderful people puller as well! Imagine an elaborate vivarium next to a 260G reptarium. heh - would almost look like my room.

If he wont - I'll try to work something out with him to take her in and find her a good home.

Could you give me a list of medicines I should have on hand? I should have written them down last evening, but I was too excited.

Also - let me know about the price for a group 1.2 or even 2.4 Phantasticus. I know you wont get them for a bit, but that should give me time to get a set up ready.

Thanks again

-adam

Hi Adam,

It was our pleasure to meet you.
So glad that Sally is doing well for you.
No... I hadn't treated any of them yet - am going to do ours this weekend. - so you do the same. I like to give them a couple of days rest after shipping before hitting them with any "parasite meds".

The fischers female is improving. Her eye is opening more, and I started her on baytril last night. She ate 4 crickets today - and she is in a warm, humid environment (her stress shed is coming off too).

Her color is much better today too... I think she is getting the hang of being dropper watered... but soon she will go into a small cage with a plant. Right now, we have to get the respiratory issue under control. She isn't holding her head up anymore - so that shows she is responding.

The fischer gal will be with us for a while yet - we plan on fattening her up some, and making sure the respiratory and eye problems are gone before returning her.

Fortunately, I don't think the jacksons will be there for long. Usually he moves them out in a week. He wants me to remodel his front window for the jacksons - there would be ample room there! And a tropical front window?? It would grab more attention than the sulcata!

Sure - we can give you a list of things you should keep on hand. We call it our "cham care kit"... and suprisingly, it has a lot of handy things.

Don't worry - we'll give you a special price on the uroplatus when they come in.

Oh... the beardie that we took last night got a nice new home today. He got about 4 hours of sun in a reptarium, then I delivered him! The new owners fussed and fussed over him. He got some big mad hissers for snacks too! I think he was actually smiling!!!!!

Can't wait to see your tropical frog tank ideas!
Talk soon...
