MHD's intelligence

These little guys never cease to amaze me. I tend to spoil my reptiles, letting them stay out of their enclosure for long periods of time--as long as I am present, of course. So, for an hour or two a day I've been letting Lyle (my mhd) hang on the curtains or sit on my head while I'm at the computer. Lately he has taken on an odd behavior: after returning to his enclosure, which is bout 4 feet high, he will climb to a high branch and start diving from it into his bathing dish at the bottom, each time making a big splash guarenteed to get my attention. It almost seems that his motivation is to get me to come pay attention to him--and take him out. Yesterday, he dove into his dish four times in a row.

How funny! I bet that was quite a sight! I, too am constantly amazed at the things Aragorn does. He is always so alert (except when he's sleeping) watching everthing going on around him. They are truly special creatures and I, for one, am very attached to my baby.

I would love to see video of Lyle's diving if you have a way to get one. Have you thought of entering him in diving competitions?!?!? LOL
