Motleys with a new gene ...

GainesReptiles Apr 10, 2009 09:40 PM

Well, my season finally kicked into gear yesterday with this nice little litter of 12 ... CA Motley x CA Black-Eyed Anery ... so all these neonates, including the Motleys are Het Anery & Het Black Eyes.

Something FUN!

yes, a great combo ... the only tough part of pioneering these combos is the wait to raise up these guys and gals and actually breeding them before you can visually see their true genetics.

Bill:

Congratulations on producing such a nice litter.

I look forward to seeing post shed photos of those guys.

There is a chance that another same combo is in the oven ... I alternated a CA Motley male and a CA Black-Eyed Anery male with my Black-Eyed Anery female. I can't lose on this litter ... either all Black-Eyed Anerys or More Het Motleys.

Congrats Bill!
Looks like your seasons off to a great start... Good luck on all your other litters. I can't wait to see what you produce from that Columbian Motley...

These new little Motleys here are awesome! Black eyed Anery Motleys and....Ghost Motleys? I'm sure those would be killer looking.

Congrats again Bill, looks like your going to have your hands full pretty soon...

Great choice of breeding!!! I am thinking maybe something eles could happen as well...what ? who knows...but the super motleys have black eyes too...so it could be interesting.

Hi Andy -

Yes, I also have thought about something different in the super form of Black-Eyed Motleys. Actually, I think "Eye Color" introduces some new genetic/morph options to the hobby ... something to include in our recipes of colors and patterns.
